its pissing me of already had a go at one on facebook for posting pics of sue showing her knickers and completely taking the piss out of her its disgusting and out of order i personally thought the show great and they covered everything with great detail
You need to calm down a bit mate - you've gone way over the top with your effing and blinding at everyone on here.
And just for the record it is a matter of fact that the programme did not cover everything in great detail - that would have been impossible.

Shame some haven't got a Mum like that today, Pete!!...
Isn't it just mate.
She was very special in lots of ways was me mam. She just let me get on with me weekends away - I always finished work early on a Friday to make sure we could be off all nitering somewhere. We never had much but she'd ensure that me - and any of me mates who turned up, had a nice Friday tea before we set off - the best chicken and chips ever.

A couple of points. I don't think anyone was getting at the couple featured in the program. They are obviously very nice people and love the music and the scene. I think most of the negative comments were because the program makers portrayed them as the norm on national television. Thereby giving the wrong impression to the non soul loving masses.
The other thing I don't understand is this. Why do the young souls feel the need to wear the old mid seventies fashions? Are they just copying their parents? Or do they feel they need a uniform to show that "we are into northern"?
On a personal level, back in the seventies, me and my mates were very much fashion victims. We would never have been seen dead in the baggies once they had gone out. I would rather have seen the youngsters wearing today's fashions myself.
I wore baggies for a very short period - didn't really like em but that was the score and I was too young to want to be different.
Anyway, I bought a pair of denim patch work baggies once. Came down stairs and me elderly mum saw me and said "Our lad, you look like a proper twat in them".
She was right.
Bless yer mam

i disagree
i would ask 60 to 80 for the jubilee release
the delphi will be over a 100
just like the Roy Smith 45 on that label
Very good records
and rare on the delphi press
go find
not obvious tunes, but good ones
the prophets also had a tune called
"talk dont bother me" on delphi which was played in the 80s
probably by pat
that 45 is worth collecting if you see it,, its just good fun, not woth a packet, but worth having
oxford nights was popuar
then they got everyone with the bootleg on that 45
no nashville stamp
no argument, imo
But Tezza , I reckon the tune you mentioned is the best
both sides are good
I have heard a couple of garage / pop things on the label
its a strange label
i would like to find out more about roy smith
Blimey - that ain't an easy post to read - why all the line spaces?

This mark 2 version of the Furutech vinyl LP flattener is better than ever. Any warped 12" singles or LPs can be brought back to their original state using this device. Well worth the investment to restore your vinyl to pristine condition.
Ultimate Performance - Ultimate Refinement - Ultimate Luxury
Every vinyl enthusiast has records in their collection, or has come across LPs they’d love to own, that were just too warped for any cartridge/arm to track. The DF-2 is the one-stop, one-button solution to your problems! The DF-2 provides controlled-heat, perfect flattening to all your warped records - even those with only slight irregularities that are just enough to unsettle your cartridge and cause mis-tracking.
Warps are bad news no matter how you look at it. If the arm/cartridge remains parallel to the LP’s surface (as with a flat record), VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) remains unchanged throughout every rotation. Additionally, as the arm/cartridge tracks a warp on its upside, it places greater pressure on the stylus which changes VTF (Vertical Tracking Force) until the peak of the warp, whereupon the cartridge becomes “unloaded” with too little VTF on the way down.
Of course, all this muddles the sound; changing the tonal quality, imaging and soundstage characteristics of the cartridge. A flat record also tracks better with less distortion.
The DF-2 doesn’t take up much room with its space-saving, vertical storage design. Improved film heating technology optimises the entire heating and cooling cycle for a perfectly flat LP that your cartridge, and you, will love. Just lay the DF-2 flat, open and place the LP on the guides, close and tap a single button. An LCD keeps you informed of its progress, with a tone sounding when the process is complete.
The DF-2 is an upgraded version of the original DFV-1.
“Furutech applies scientific methodologies, perfectly sane engineering and pretty
fanatical execution to all of its products.”
-- Srajan Ebaen, 6moons.com
“… After a session with the DFV-1, it was flat”
“… I found the DFV-1 Disc Flattener effective for banishing warps from LPs”
-- Michael Fremer, Stereophile October 2007
“…The Furutech DFV-1 performed exactly as advertised and I can say that I wouldn‘t change a thing about it”
-- John Potis, 6moons October 2007
“…The DFV-1 flattened any warped LP I threw at, no matter the weight or warping, and did so without damaging the LP in any way I could see or hear”
-- John Crossett, Soundstage September 2007

Here's another Willie Mitchell production which is winging its way from the states - sublime soul music. From that great Tennessee based label Hi - lots of similarity with the previous record.

Hi Mark
This immediately came to mind - but it's perhaps a double clap on a double beat. I'll post it anyway.

Amazing how many people list the label as Sump Off as well.....A bit of NS history first played by Curtis at The Mecca.....Although I didn't hear it then, it's a record I have liked for a long time.
Agree Steve. It's a very nice record with lots of things going for it.
Nice info from Bob and others too.
Cheers everyone.

Peter, if your not that fussed about getting the 7", try the LP Blues in My Bedroom as it on there and I think its the same version as the 7" and it'll probably be cheaper to get.
Peter get this
https://www.discogs.com/Lynn-White-Blues-In-My-Bedroom/release/2406536
Some nice tracks on it too.
Oops, Mr Reed beat me to it, always a risk of that when you start to post and get distracted by pesky bankers asking me to do some work!
Thanks John/Jocko
There are some for sale in the states - was being tight and trying to avoid paying the increased shipping costs - I'll bite the bullet!
I'll get that LP too though - thanks for the heads up.
