otis Redding Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay The experienced album collector, knows as he gently tugs with a raised-pulse of anticipation at an album, to relieve it from its poly-lined original sleeve and it tucks back! You know condition is gonna be special; as if with a loving-attraction the two hold together, and plead "don't play me and spoil my perfection" This 1968 release, a little over a month after his tragic death December 1967 is near perfect - vinyl has just one tiny, tiny light surface blemish, cover is totally free of writing, stains or flaws - just a couple of light "laminate veins". A tribute to an artist who establish "SOUL" on an international scale. If there's a finer copy in existence - I've never seen it. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 48.00 Perfections Can This Be Real I've made no secret that the soul-harmony-vocal group is my preferred choice of rare soul. This 45 offers it at the very highest level of skill. Tom Washington's intricate arrangement involving differing string delivery, drum rolls, guitar, brass all go to enhance what is a glorious example of tight vocal harmony. By comparison this 45 rubs shoulders with the very finest 70s rare-soul recordings that managed to avoid those 70s "Disco cliches" - now all copies long-been buried in collections, we feel this will emerge and flex it's muscles and growing reputation...pure quality always does. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 156.00 Wilson Pickett Let Me Be Your Boy 1962 UK MGM DEMO, of this Detroit flip-side that has enjoyed strong collectible status on 1st. USA Correc-Tone 2nd. USA CUB 3rd. USA Verve. All valued to varying degrees, but to own it as the UK DEMO snuggled in it's original release sleeve in mighty fine condition with the only slight flaw of the date on the centerpiece scored out is the zenith of it's formats. Whether you collect Northern Soul, collect rare Brit-release Soul or just appreciate the sheer-exclusivity of this listing...that beautiful "label-vista" will be very hard to resist. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 101.00 Fi-dels Try A Litte Harder C/w You Never Do Right (my Baby) We would like to think bidders enter this arena with the intention of acquiring near perfect vinyl to adorn their collections. So let us reiterate CONDITION,CONDITION, CONDITION!! we have over the years frequently had and sold this title - but most have had water stained labels, marked vinyl, storage warp or other annoying flaws. To find this in "like new" condition it's extremely hard indeed, this offering is just immaculate in ever respect! Act accordingly. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 201.00

George Smith Pretty Little Girl Superior and original version of the highly rated Gene Chandler 45, with Phil Spector's influence ensuring this is the only one to own! George Smith's composition enjoys an echoing girl-group injection woven in-between the cavernous vocal of Mr. Smith and laid gently onto a precise mid-paced arrangement... creating a huge dancefloor stroller. Nothing but rarity has stood in the way of this 45 becoming a Northern Soul monster - time to shelve your Kurt Harris's, Timi Yuro's etc and breath some new life into your DJ set - we know for sure not many can boast owning this sensational example of the "Big City Sound" - note; the flip gives up a vocal-group example of the genre. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 299.00 Brenda Holloway Together 'til The End Of Time C/w Sad Song Los Angeles songbird plucked from Hal Davis's Los Angeles studios for fame at Motown. Primarily signed to replace the gap left by Mary Wells departure to 20th. Century Fox. Before you today is a divine-double helping of Frank Wilson's lyrical talents - guided by longtime studio partners Hal Davis& Marc Gordon. This sublime RED & WHITE DEMO showcases this Watts-Gal as the supreme vocalist she certainly was - today she is considered the "Northern Soul Darling" of the label with her impressive catalog of recordings. Before you is this ultimate for this time - a flawless TMG556 RED& WHITE DEMO! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 232.00 Ben E. King Ben E. King - 4 Track Mono Ep Collecting British Soul EPs has always been difficult - unlike some of the "pop" EPs released on these shores; the "Soul" counterparts sold very little by comparison. This 1963 London Atlantic release is particularly difficult to find especially in this neat, clean condition. 4 Tracks are: 1. How Can I Forget 2. Gloria Gloria 3. Tell Daddy 4. Auf Wiedersehn My Dear . This front cover just screams "Cover Art" as the beaming bright face of Mr. King projects exactly what the music is all about. Even though he'd just hit pay-dirt and fame with "Stand By me" this EP sold virtually nothing upon release - and it looks totally gorgeous...doesn't it? Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 38.00

Little Joe Roman When You're Lonesome (come On Home) FLAWLESS!! Boy oh boy, does Northern Soul Classic White DEMO collecting get any more exciting than this? - no it certainly doesn't! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 677.00 Ray J. & Norma Jean This Is Our Song Of Love This Is Our Song Of Love Raymond Jones teams up with Norma Jean creating a compelling mid-pace New Orleans crossover groove. A supremely constructed duet,as the two Crescent City Soulsters exchanging lover's pleasantries over a vibe n' brass arrangement. Extremely hard to acquire before "Katrina" - now it's proving an impossible quarry ! The soulful qualities and it's place of birth, suggests this Killer Crossover can only rise in value. Get a listen you'll love it! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 257.00 Chubby Checker The Wah-watusi Quadrophenia lifted the Orlons classic Philly dance 45 into MOD immortality! The dance-hall scene from this iconic movie sealed the "The Orlons" as Scooter-Boy anthem. So, how about this 45 that NEVER achieved USArelease as a 45. Fabulous version from the "Discotheque" man who gives the song another dimension. 1961 Italian rarity still retains original company sleeve...may we suggest the over-worked Orlons classic would be perfectly replaced by an inspired DJ with this refreshingly different take on the classic. Remember there is no USA 45 of this offering...and this Italian creation is Dog-Rare and flawless. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 93.00 Moses Dillard & The Dynamic Showmen Pretty As A Picture C/w Go Away Baby Former Wigan Casino secret monster for that man Richard Searling. This example stood apart as one of the "Most-Soulful" giants of that period. Moses is recognized as covering all styles of soul with a slick-ease and torrid emotion. To fuse it to a 60s dance production makes this 45 special. Check out all his work on Curtom, Mala, Shout etc. This is one of two releases on this independent Mark V the other is the equally seductive "Pretty As A Picture" our data tells us this is the rarest of the two and in fact Moses Dillard's rarest 45 period by a ratio of 4 to 1. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 486.00

< Jimmy Burns I Really Love You Nothing we can say will elevate this 45's enviable reputation - it already proudly perches itself at the very summit of Northern Soul collecting. But do pause to consider that this copy had never ever met an Englishman before - vinyl has only a couple of light sleeve contact brushes, but has certainly never ever encountered the rigors of an English club-turntable. A better copy we think may not exist - certainly a "virgin" to these Isles untouched by DJ hands. If perfection, provenance and top-drawer Northern Soul is important to you, whilst trying to own the top-flight "Trophies" this 45 offers it all. It's been a thrill for me to even hold it... Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 3,854.00 Betty O'brien She'll Be Gone A genuine ORIGINAL vinyl promo press - in unbelievable near prefect condition. The Nicky Newarkers Woman A subtle vibe intro, then wham - this Jesus Alvarez project takes flight , soaring feelgood 1976 New York dancer that ignores all the city's crass disco influences and keeps it slick, clean and real. Fabulous lead vocal, strong vocal-group backing,a liberal sprinkling of horns, a jazzy vibe-break or two and we have a most-excellent example of seventies soulful dance music. Unlike Alfie Davison, this "Mercury" giant has NOT been bootlegged or re-issued, leaving true-rarity and full integrity still intact, hence the massive demand to own a copy. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 420.00 The Nicky Newarkers Bill Stewart Fat Boy C/w Reap What You Sow Billy Stewart's FIRST and most-elusive British 45. 1962 UK issue a "self Portrait" of Chicago Soul. This 45 was the stepping stone that 3 years later would see Billy become MOD pin-up with his classic "Sitting In The Park" followed by his unforgettable rendition of the Gershwin classic "Summertime" This Soul-man was unique in style and stature and still enjoys high-esteem from all soul collectors 41 years after his tragic death. Historical, essential and such a fine example of this man's extreme vocal talent. A wrote on the other-side label - vinyl and "Fat Boy" side are immaculate. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 73.00 Superlatives I Still Love You C/w We're So Lonely A timeless Northern Soul classic that rattles this country's NS clubs every weekend without fail; as it has done since it's debut spin circa 1971 Golden Torch. But how many of those spins have come from the much-covetedYELLOW label 45. For the growing class of condition-conscious Northern Soul classic-collectors.This listing is blindingly flawless - we've not experienced a finer copy in memory. Happiness Gotta Have Love Those glorious transitional years between Motown Dance and Disco disaster the Soul fraternity crafted some of the finest music of the last century 1969 to 1974 were the crossover years when the "soul-content" became for many artist and producers the most vital ingredient. Take time a moment to enjoy a superb example that statement - a totally obscure 1973 street-level Los Angeles vocal-group gathering that offers floating vocals neatly woven into a wah-wah propelled [production - absolutely delicious! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 129.00 Mr. Misery For those of you searching for the the "Twilight 1006 DJ" of this 45 - ITDON'T EXIST! - accidents happen when you're plagiarizing other peoples Price Guides and whoops mix up two listings into one - and a legendary non-existent 45 gets born...So before you today is THE ONLY vinyl format this mighty version of "Padded Cell" exists in. So ridiculously limited, Rip Lay of Concord, California promo'd this "from the vaults" recording, as an allegedly tiny 50 only press in 1977. We have no reason to suspect that is not true, as it has firmly stood the test of time as being excruciatingly RARE! The green see-through vinyl emits one outrageously potent slab of Northern Soul from a man with the vocal that only "the King" could compare to. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 82.00 Bobby Treetop So Sweet So Satifyin' WOW! A ridiculously rare STOCK copy - get googlin' to find out why we consider this right up there with the most-wanted - least seen of thoseSTOCK COPY Northern Soul trophies! Dee Dee Sharp Standing In The Need Of Love C/w I Really Love You We have crowed many times before about the beautiful simplicity of the UKPYE distributed Promo - but when it's enveloped in a Cameo Parkway sleeve, sporting two flawless labels and vinyl it is undeniably a top-drawer Brit-Beauty. But then consider the sheer quality of these two back to back Philadelphia Northern Soul dancers. Barrett Strong's composition is a Motownesque work of replicating genius. The other side shows off the early skills of Kenny Gamble, aided by the Arctic label Creator JImmy Bishop. Both sides just drip with class - this 45 in this the ultimate format is some prize to win. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 157.00 One Night Stand I Dig You Baby C/w There's A Crowd Currently Jerry Butler & Lorraine Ellison's 2 Mercury 45s are picking up loads of crossover venue spins - and rightly so - this song is a slick smooth and easy Northern Soul stroller from the top-drawer quality. BUT before you today is a ridiculously obscure "Carolina" style version, for those of you who prefer, Street-level rarity & production. A room of horns and a muted hammond introduce a growling gravel-coated-vocal that meanders through this mid-tempo delight with equally skilled ease, that you would associate with the "Iceman" himself. If you like it more upbeat, there's a bonus-flip, strong Carolina style Northern Soul. Two strong sides with "I Dig Yo Baby" being something very special. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 98.00 Milton Campbell & The R-d-m Band Sweet Thing C/w Someone So much-more than just a brass-propelled Philly chunk of Funk, that instantly demands dance! This 45 also offers up a a flipside with a string and girl-group driven soul-dancer that amazingly has yet to hit the heights it obviously deserves. Two great sides with the flip particularly bristling with potential for a much bigger ticket - it reminds me of those strong Vanguards 45s on Lamp that languished in collections until emerging on the DJ's turntables. Seldom in recent times have I heard such a strong tune that has yet to "hit". Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 257.00 Yvonne Daniels Don't Wanna Get Away From Your Love C/w I Love It Let's get serious - one of THE rarest of all the girl-vocal Northern Soul 45s ever made. This is the genuine authentic original which carries the impressive flip "I Love It". Topside came to light when back in 1975 "Record Haven" bought a load from New York and 4 copies were in it. Since those Northern Soul days of yore I personally have only ever sold a couple of copies from those initial 4, and i only know of one, scratchy "rogue" copy to come up for sale on the net. Before you today is one of the original 4 found that we luckily acquired. The trick we've all missed is the B-side (that is missing off the bootleg) is dead-right for the funkier sound on "now" Two highly desirable sides - one seriously rare disc. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 612.00

Patti & The Emblems I'm Gonna Love You A Long Long Time Santa all I want for Christmas is a 45 year old Northern Soul Timeless classic in PERFECT condition. I know it's too much to ask, Santa - but please do what'cha can. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 377.00 Betty Fikes And The Passions Prove It To Me C/w I Can't Lie To My Heart Distilled SOUL! It was only 3 years after it's release, when Betty Fikes was first spun at Cleethorpes Pier, so all assumed, they will eventually own a copy. How wrong can you be? In over 30 years I would guess I've only had the pleasure of selling 3 copies, which actually included my own personal DJcopy. Few records can carry this pedigree of rarity coupled with the quality of SOUL that lay in the grooves. Topside is solid Sister-Northern the flipside is DEEP SOUL so powerful, one listen will with you for life. More importantly this copy is the only one I've ever had, in fine clean condition. Vinyl and labels are FLAWLESS. If you appreciate Rarity & Depth of Soul in copious amounts, like me this masterpiece will make you sit up and beg for ownership. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 946.00 Bobby Valentin Use It Before You Lose It At this moment in time - no other LATIN Northern Soul offering rams the dancefloor this this doers - IT'S A MONSTER - absolutely fundamental Hot Box occupant and this copy is as clean as it gets. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 455.00 Kim Weston I'm Still Loving You On Wednesday 15/01/2009 this title in this format was the very first British rare-soul 45 to break the £1000 barrier; achieving a final price on raresoulman-auction of £1090. It was of course a flawless MINT copy. Before you today is the chance perhaps, to own this iconic piece for a fraction of that - because of lesser condition. Exact condition is; both labels are flaw free. Vinyl has light surface marks plays vg+. Tiny/miniscule round "heat" mark on the a-side vinyl 1/2 way through NOT affecting play. It has, we suspect, had light surface restoration to make it appear visually excellent. Soundfile has been lifted directly from this disc - you will hear it plays clean and true. Yes, we consider this an opportunity to spin a Red & White legend on the decks, make the chin-stroking turntable-police drool with envy - and pay a fraction of that UKrecord breaking price of near 3 years back. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 164.00

Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 46.00 Essex Iv My Reaction To You C/w My Heart Can't Take It Rightly, so very highly regarded New York double helping of vocal-group soulful dance - leaving the City's disco influences aside, the talents of Bob Yorey (The Glories mentor) and Richie Rome (the prolific purveyor of outstanding soul production) take Ronnie Love's composition and craft the most-perfect of 70s Northern Soul - then ice the cake with flipside that is every note as good. "> Chances A Better Day Is Coming C/w People Wake Up Before It's Too Late Oh so beautifully primitive, so simple but so very effective. This is vocal-group excellence at it’s most soulful. Easy-strolling backing track is simplicity itself, gentle drum rolls, occasional cymbal smash, understated but highly effective guitar work all fuse, giving the perfectly pitched vocals the forefront to craft some of the finest harmony you could ever wish to experience. THIS IS CLASS! absolutely my style of Northern Soul - if you check out the flipside you be met by a suicidal slab of Deep Soul served calculatingly cold, this BANG the [pace picks up into upbeat Northern Soul to suddenly drop like a stone to Deep Soul again… weird but captivating. Two great sides - one very rare disc. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 200.00 Maximilian The Snake Sway just sway…some instrumental just have “it” - don’t they? The simmering intro ignites the imagination, the atmosphere builds, then the sultry saxophone blurts a statement, the bass picks up the rhythm, then the pianist wakes up! Building a “Titty-shaker” of the highest order! What am I saying “Titty-shaker”? this 1960 Big Top recording was a MOD anthem long before that descriptive term flooded the internet. Forget “Tits”… this is much more alluring. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 57.00

The winning bid was £ 355.00 > James Fountain Seven Day Lover The average wage of the British youngster in that hot-summer of 1976 was around £30 a week! Maybe the heat of that memorable year affected one young Cleethoropes Dj’s brain, as he paid almost 7 weeks wages after tax for James Fountain on Peachtree. At the time a ridiculous amount to spend on a 45. But imagine being in your early 20’s and hearing this Georgia masterpiece for the first time in the Rare-Soul-Cauldron that was Blackpool Mecca.
