Always been lead to believe this is the boot Pete, the 6's are 'looped' on the matrix where as on the original the 6's are more like a lower case 'b' if that makes sense, think there is a '2' that's looped also,

Agree whole heartedly, the epitome of dreadful, however irrespective of where we all go I can't remember hearing 'pocket' out for erm decades, but Ms St James, any oldies night and it's a 'winner'

I know it's not all about 'soul' content with dance tunes but it just doesn't register with me at all, Dee Clark - that's my girl is my other main baffler

Some people don't always want to be seen somewhere where they shouldn't be maybe, Dave Leedham takes lots of photos, he tends to take them with the subjects actually smiling at the camera, usually in twos or above, which can be presumed they are ok with it, Not quite the same as someone randomly snapping unsuspecting subjects and posting them on the net, Facebook and the like have caused no end of arguments with folk pictured in places they shouldn't be or worse still with people they shouldn't be with, (not me btw lol)

I just thought it would be something not (to my knowledge) discussed too much on here, that would be an interesting topic,

Where exactly in my opening post did I mention any individual item? I just mentioned merchandise,

I agree with all you say, I am only responding to you telling me records aren't merchandise, how could I possibly have known you meant the above?

As I was the one who said 'including records' I haven't a clue what you meant, I obviously, because of my comment, consider records for sale in a public place to be merchandise, Would be great if you told me what you meant,

But in an earlier post you said such an item was too tacky, it's just a discussion about a prevalent part of the 'scene', that I'm not sure has been discussed much at all, I don't wanna ask the local working mens club anything, I said in the first post I don't really care, I just thought on a bored Thursday evening it would be an interesting topic,

Is the first post so misleading? there's no hidden agenda, not after getting anyone into trouble, just opinions on merchandise at venues, be it absolutely anything, from records to coasters, who is responsible?

I don't know that's why I'm asking, is it OK for someone to pitch up at the local working mens club and set up a pitch and sell anything copyright or otherwise? and who's responsibility is it to police it?

Sorry if the initial post is a bit misleading, but I was thinking a little deeper than 'do you like car stickers?'

OK, After reading a couple of comments on the events threads, something I have, up to now, not given much thought, but maybe a few others opinions would be good, What do members think should and should not be allowed on sale at venues? the legalities? If the promoter hasn't asked for or charged a merchandiser for their pitch who should police what they sell? The promoter? Venue owner? Anyone? What kind of things enhance the event? Are there things a bit too tacky? I don't really care one way or the other, but would be good to hear the views of some promoters, sellers etc, Mods If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move
