thank you Debbie n' Ian ... the picture on my flyer was not taken by me but at a photo shoot at the Kay Gee Bee edited by me and used on our flyers .... the lad wanted us to do some dance moves for his exam project and said we could have and use the pics after .... wish i knew his name so I could credit him, a really nice guy..... not seen him since.... they are super shots too ! -

four "bikers" getting on the train between manchester n' wigan .... train full to the brim with soulies and they decided to start a fight ended up with communication cord pulled .. bikers jumped off and started throwing bricks through train windows..... train sped off and we were herded like animals at the other end with police dogs n all .... frisked up n down as always lol ... bikers got away i guess.. down to my y fronts in the car park while they searched my cortina steaming like a racehorse when you went for a piss ... I doubt there is a day goes by without those days entering my head.... and probably the same for everyone who was lucky enough to be within that period of time.... pete n' susan ktf

Gail me and Chrissy Gail is one of my oldest friends we go back years(my other oldest soulie friend is Diane...) also in the pic is one of my newest friends,Chrissy.ive known her about 3yrs but it feels like its alot longer. two of my lovely friends on the soul scene xx KTF Susan. -

I agree ..they were a bit "off the peg" mine too were made to measure at a tailor ..... but spencers could be made to measure too with fully working pockets etc......as are these.......I bought 3 pair em off evil bay for £5 a pair just for fun.... They would never fit me cos they were too small but as "historical" clothes they were worth it ! ..... then came along Ethan who only had one pair of baggies and loved wearing them........could not get any anywhere .....so I gave em to him.....nothing more fitting than a lad like him should bring them back to life .....out on the floor where they belong ! I have one of my original suits in the V&A ..... I hope Ethan will donate them when he grows out of them ......which wont be long , he grows at an alarming rate lol.... pete n' susan

the lad loves the retro look.... as some of us do...it's harmless and fun ...thats all ..so yes it is his choice ! they are,.. as a matter of interest original spencers from the seventies ...... nice to see the trousers out soulin again too lol pete n' susan

Ethan is a really good lad ! he comes n' dances with Me n' susan , Tommo, Liam, Carl piper Joe Beech, Sammy Dee etc ... he fits in so well, does not misbehave or anything...Brent is always on hand too..... how could anyone turn him away if the law of the venue allows ? ... .. thing is lads or girls like him are few n' far between....he is dedicated... and an exception. to the rule... I remember kids let in at Alfreton.....ok at first with some good dancers,,, all well into it....then more arrived over the months ...they ended up running around in gangs like a school playground......so it can go very wrong........ perhaps the way should be by invite only....? pete n'susan ktf BLACKHEARTSOUL ..1ST NIGHT ..AUGUST13TH ...NOTTINGHAM ... to anticipate is really to guess.....to think you know whats coming....not to say you cant have a good time dancing to something you dont know....but guessing is not like knowing... ......depends on how you dance perhaps ? one way suits all ? or full changes of pace and style ? ...i don't know ? as I said ...just my take, i'll get my coat lol pete

I like to hear and dance to 15 out of twenty i know ...and learn about the other five ...that way I get best of both worlds you cant "really" dance to something you dont know....you can just adlib as it goes on...hey, ....nowt wrong in that , but many like to know where the breaks, the slides, the fast bits n' the slow bits are... only then are you really dancing to the tune........just my take one other thought is that in packed dancefloors you would stay on the floor cos you could not get off lol...n' if yer did you lost your space....so many people danced to what they did not know or had never heard cos they were stuck there not wanting to give up that space you just made pete ktf
