Got to agree with you, I love to dance too, isn't that what Northern Soul is mainly about, that irresistable urge to dance. I have been known to walk into a venue, fling my coat etc onto nearest table and hit the floor dancing. Fortunately I like all the different genres of soul and can adjust my style of dancing to go with the music. I don't need alcohol to be able to dance, would probably fall over and dare not risk broken bones at my age!!!! My favourite floor has to be the Ritz Ballroom at Brighouse, it has just the right amount of spring, followed by Drax. East Kirkby has improved but I always bring the varnish back on my shoes! I am possibly one of the older dancers on the scene but as some-one said earlier, 'I will keep dancing until my knees give up', not happening just yet as I have the Metrodome to tackle tomorrow. I have had a copy in my record box from when it was originally released in 1971/2. Can anyone tell me how much it maybe worth ?
