Can sort of agree about Lost Soul and Houston Outlaws but surely the Conquistadors couldn't be considered played out...............I only ever hear it when I play it............but maybe that just highlights that the current plays aren't all the same region by region. So something played alot in the Northwest might rarely get played in the East Midlands ?

You'll never please everybody ! I try to play a mixture of oldies and different tunes to try and strike a balance between giving the 'Chin Strokers' something to enjoy but also trying to please the dancefloor. Some nights it's easy but other nights it's very hard. Just depends on the atmosphere and whether people are up for it or not.

I do the occassional spot but I'm a collector, not a DJ. If I was asked to do a spot tonight I'd play the following (all originals in my collection). Seems popular at the moment and a few have sold on ebay around the £75 mark but based on the fact that there's plenty around, I would say they should be no more than £50 max.

Absolutely agree Chalky.........I do think it's acceptable if someone has a valid reason for backing out of a purchase but they should always advise the seller promptly and in an appropriate way citing the personal or other circumstances that requires them to not now complete the purchase. Anyone who chooses not to honour a verbal or written commitment to buy a record and can't be bothered to explain why, should be subsequently named and shamed, then maybe they would think twice before acting that way in the future.
