Some of the prices on Big Dealer sites are incredible. If you were to offer them your records to buy then the offer you would get is closer to the real value of the record,the rest is just pure Profitering.Bit like when you trade your car in and the guy gives you a grand then the folowing week its on the forecourt for Two grand

I have an idea that the younger generation of soulies will eventually move away from the traditional Wigan Standard Oldies much in the same way we did when we were their age ,and search for something different to forge their own way.So i can see the reactivation of some of the Stafford plays along with the more uptempo funky sounds that are in vogue at the moment.These Big prices are still being paid by the Oldies DJs for played out oldies, but once they are replaced by the younger guys a whole new sound will be indemand.In my Opinion look for the stuff that gets played in the Underplayed R&B and Boogaloo rooms and venues such as the Black Bee club for the next big ticket items.People say there will always be top prices paid for the big oldies and at the moment that is true but ten years from now the soulnight playlists could be a lot different.

Bit Of A Minefield with the Issues.Mine Is the Black Text Variation.There is a Blue Text and the one like yours with Blue one side and Black the other.I was lead to believe by a reliable source that they are all originals done around the same time.Most would say that the Blue text both sides was first but who knows.Very much in demand and prices rising i would rate my Black variation at about £60 but would never sell it Great record

I used to have a Bootleg C.D full of Unissued Motown Stuff and on it im sure there was a different version of Chuck's We'll find A way.I don't have the CD anymore but i think it was by Levi Stubbs.Can anyone clear this up for me please Also Did Chuck's Version ever get a 45 release

Thanks Dave i only noticed one you sold which i missed out on.Surprised at the price hike on it but as you say its being chased after.I may have gone to £150 max but think it may come back down after the demand eases, if you have had 4 in recent years it cant be that rare and the reissue may knock prices a bit .I live in hope anyway.

Hi Guys I Don't really know much about this record apart from the fact that i have been trying to get one for years.I have put up a couple of shouts in Wants but not a sniff. So is it a rare one or just a keeper that hardly comes up for sale.What would be the going rate for one.There is one in Dicogs up for £200 but surely thats over the top.I may have to settle for the recent reissue to spin at home Cheers Patto
