  1. I'll second that. [ even more of a bargain ]
  2. I believe one sold at Middleton on Sat for 50 quid from Des Parkers sales box.
  3. A big play for Simon Preston at the Bournemouth Railway Club over the last couple of years, copies have now dried up a bit, think it was about 30 quid , but with a few peps now starting to play this once forgotten oldie, prices have risen, been looking myself for a good while,
  4. I didnt mean you Pete, i meant people with 'soul cred'
  5. What I'm trying to say is that some people with 'soul cred' on here get away with saying things that a lesser person would get slaughterd for, meaning people biting their tongues [easy targets, eh...?]
  6. Some peps can say what they want on hear, others get slaughtered, If your face fits etc
  7. Come down south Beeks, theres less bickering and you wont feel out of place as most peps look younger than there age due to the sea air and lack of rain
  8. I will make a point of setting up my usb turntable and try to put both sides on, vocal / inst.
  9. I think you got side tracked by all the females on here

  14. Forgot to say I'll be listing this high quality soul record for sale later, I'll be clearing my message box to make way for the deluge of pm's , to be fair to everyone i might even take sealed bids.
  15. Your so right Ted [ crap pop record ] but i remember it filling the floor at the Casino, dosnt say much for are beloved scene at that time does it.
  16. Ive got two copies on clamike , didn't know it came out on another, the b side on mine is John Friday's Son which is very good, i also have played it out in a main set a few years ago and it went down extremely well.
  17. Noble Watts / Teene - Scene on Clamike more of a mod sound than northern, what a great inst, quality sax, should get played out more often, unfortunately cant do a sound file.
  18. Speed dear boy, not quality
  19. They could pitch it up even more, but it wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference. HER VOICE IS CRAP.
  20. I will say the music sounds good, shame she didnt get run over the day before it was recorded
  21. It must of been bad because my other half came in and started doing he chicken dance and she's never done that before.
  22. I've been digging through some of my old record boxes and I've come across a record by Joanne Touchstone - Walk Softly - on the Sound Stage 7 label and I can honestly say that in 33 years listening to Soul music, this is the worst record I have ever heard! To my astonishment, looking through previous forum-topics o this website, I have noticed that it has been played at some top venues... the only thing I can think of is that she must have been married to the Sound Stage 7 label owner at the time!
  23. Compared to Tim Tam and The Turn Ons its mid tempo, but in general turms always been known as uptempo.
  24. This is like being back at school again [and i wasn't there that often ] i can understand now ,why the younger generation don't come into the scene there's to many anoraks about. That's my own personal opinion
