The guy with blue shirt on is Derek, the original manager of the Central 40 years ago. Thanks to him, his wife Joan and Len cave the owner, the 'Leeds Central Soul Club' was born.

I remember the 'Metro' being in existence but I don't remember ever going. The only places around that time I can remember in Wakey was 'Intercon, Raquels, Locarno (Mecca) on the site where the Ridings is now and a bit later on I think 'Unity hall'

Leeds Central
Can't believe I just found these after all these years. An original 'Central' membership card, but what makes it special is that I had it signed on the back by no other than 'Gladys Knight and the pips' when I went to see them at Sheffield theatre club in the 70s. Also found my Cleethorpes card and a Torch flyer.
