Hi fellas I have just picked up a couple of Motown albums. One of them I'm pretty sure is quite common which is 'Diana Ross & The Supremes with The Temptations Together' This is nice, in mint condition and on the US Motown label (MS 692) The one I can't find anything about is called 'Motown sixteen super smashes'. It is on the orange Dutch Motown label and again is in Mint condition. The matrix number is '5C 062-96024' I have done a comprehensive search on the interweb, and it's not coming up with anything. Is there anyone on here who has any idea of anything about it, is it rare, and why isn't it catalogued anywhere? I have attached some pictures below. Thank you in advance.

Just in case you were wondering, my avaitar is taken from the front cover of the 'Soul Survivors 2' album, that's me stood up at the front with the fag in my hand (as usual) with the wicked cord bags (what happened to them, and my Levi Skinners?). Wouldn't fit me now anyway cos I'm a fat bastard. Cheeky blighters didn't even ask permission to use it either LOL. I'd have thought putting me on the front would have affected sales of the album, well I wouldn't buy it Heheh!!

Yeah man, can't wait to get it, I've had to put up with the re-release copy with 'I'm still loving you' on the other side up til' now. Now i can play it in it's own right. Would you believe that only 4 people bid on the auction including me? How mad is that? I'll make sure I play the flip as well, it's sounds good to me. Thanks again fellahs.

I am astounded that no only 4 folk including myself, bid on a auction on Ebay that was for 2 Kim Weston 7s on Gordy, one being 'Helpless' and the other being 'A thrill a moment. I picked them both up for the mental price of $16.61 (£10.13p) OK the condition might no be the best but hey, the 'Thrill a moment' must be worth twice that on it's own. Well chuffed!!!!

can someone let me know whata 'Gordy' copy of 'A Thrill a moment' is worth in VG+ condition please? Also i have on a CD 'Kim Weston - You hit me, right where it hurt me'? Did this ever get released?

Just picked up a copy of 'Marvin gaye - Come get to this' on UK Motown (TMG 8820 from a chrity shop in Leeds. Never heard of this one before and that was the reason i bought it, on spec really as you can't listen to tunes in charity shops. What a bargain a 50p, and in excellent condition too. Any history on this on the Northern scene at all, cos if not, i think it might be time for it to surface as it's an excellent mid tempo dancer. also any ideas of it's actual worth? It certainly looks like a US release as it has no centre, I could be wrong, but then again there is nothing on the label that says where it originated, , the label colour is beige, The matrix number is 2571-45-A. What has it been fetching pricewise, if anything?

Hi peeps Went into Leeds today and went into one of the main record shops. I spotted a couple of crates of 'New' 7" records stuck underneath the racks. I asked the owner what they were and he said, "a bit of everything, have a look" I went throught the records and found a few that looked 'Northerny' going by the labels, and listened to a load. I ended up buying 4 that i'd never heard of but were amazing. So I just wondered if anyone on here had heard of them? They are Sharon Jones and the dap-Kings - 100 days, 100 nights on 'Daptone' records LaShawn Collins - What you gonna do now on 'Escrow' records Funky music machine - I can't help myself on 'Black top' records (a really Northern version of the 'Tops' classic) and best of all Hank Soul Man Mullen - He upset your dreams, on 'Ever-Soul' records, what a blinder! let me know if you know any of them and what you think.
