Today is the 69th birthday of Sue Chaloner of Spooky & Sue! British-Aruban duo living in the Netherlands Spooky and Sue with Iwan Groeneveld from Aruba (1946) and the British soulsinger Sue Chaloner (Londen, 12 March 1953), who scored a number of big hits in the mid-seventies. Chaloner played frequently in the club circuit in the eighties with her nine-piece band Soul Train and in 1992 made a name for herself in England as a dance diva. They had a hit in the Netherlands with 'Swinging On A Star' in 1974. This TopPop recording was first broadcast on October 10, 1975.
