DISCO diva Gaye Chorlton is just nuts about Northern Soul, and to prove it she has created her own shrine to the popular dance movement in a battered old Volvo.

The sculptor, 46, whose extraordinary creation is also her office, travels all over the country in her Ã"¹Ã…“soul machine" on her various commissions for museums, schools and art galleries.

So outrageously decorated is GayeÃÆ’¢âÅ¡¬âž¢s A-registered green Volvo it has stopped traffic in the middle of Manchester and taken on near-cult status in its native Chorlt.............
