An afternoon of outstanding soul music from most genres including Northern Soul, Modern and 7Ts, Old Club Soul, Motown and Funk. 
The club is an intermate, friendly place. Six different DJ's each playing their favourite tunes, giving the afternoon an interesting range. 
The dance floor is inviting you and you have until 8 o'clock util the tunes fad away.

This is our first event of 2023 and follows on from another fantastic year for our club. Thanks to all who came to support us, including lots of new faces from across the country.
Events for the last 3 years have been held at the Lamb Inn, Market St. Ashby dela Zouch. The venue has a relatively spacious room for our regular numbers, a dance floor, an amazing sound system and we have excellent support from the management team at the Lamb Inn.
If you have attended previous events you will know what to expect and how seriously good the music and atmosphere are. If you missed them for some reason or are a new member, you should try and make one of the events this year, they are a must for all lovers of soul music. Those who attend regularly know the variety and quality of music played. Each event we try to select DJ's with diverse musical tastes and this month is no different.

Record dealers are always welcome.

Firstly, after a couple of blistering selections at Color One Tear Black in 2022, we are proud to announce that soul devotee JM has joined the COTB ranks as a resident selector. To mark the moment, JM has obligingly put together an ace new three-hour mix, which you can listen to here. 

COTB is back at The Paradise on Sunday 12th February, this time with the esteeemed Dr B as special guest. With a long history in the music, from helping to source Stateside vinyl for early record fairs back in the day, to frequent US buying trips, Dr B has a deep knowledge and serious history. Persuaded to dust-off his record box in 2015 for JM’s Soul Connoisseurs Collective at Brilliant Corners, Dr B has since become a regular fixture at Carib Soul, Doncaster Sunday Chill Out, and the Family Circle Stockholm Soul Weekender. We can’t wait.

Set up in February 2016 by Thierry Cochet, AKA Dr. Kruger (NTS), Color One Tear Black celebrates group harmony, sweet and deep soul music, all played on original issue 45s by resident DJs Dr Kruger, Claire Kalvis, Jim Edwards, David Hill, JM and monthly guests. The night runs on the second Sunday of each month at The Paradise, 19 Kilburn Lane, London. W10 4AE.
