The above monthly event takes place this month on the Sunday 18th July at the open air market in Market Square.
Market Square is right in the town center either side of the market hall, and there's plenty of parking around within 5 minutes walk. 
Normally 40 dealers with plenty of soul 45 and albums for sale. Usually very busy with collectors travelling from across the UK. Last time there was Sean Hampsey and Kev Briscoe from Diggin Deep records with hundreds of soul 45's from 5 - 500 quid. Bradford's finest Derek Pearson, plus others with soul 45's and Lp's

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!! The Juke Joint is going ahead Sunday 18th July!! We will be adhering to Covid restrictions and to ensure that people feel safe and comfortable the event will happen in the basement AND the ground floor. The DJs will be playing in the basement as usual and the music will be hooked up to the ground floor. We have our usual resident DJs David Melling and David Callister playing, I’ll be spinning too and maybe a secret (for now) guest DJ !!! The Juke Joint happens in an authentic basement bar set in a legendary Liverpool club, The Jacaranda. The Jacaranda opened in 1958 originally as a Jazz club evolving thru the 60s embracing Mersey Beat, Mod, Soul, R'n'B and Jamaican music and culture. The Juke Joint is a free bi-monthly event for those who like to listen and dance to amazing music in a cool and friendly place. It's curated and hosted by myself, resident DJ Phil Laing with special guest DJs selecting from their precious vinyl collections. Fellow resident DJs are local lads David Melling and David Callister. The club is located at 21-23 Slater Street Liverpool L1 4BW and it runs from 3pm-9pm.
