Our Christmas event and the next in the ever popular Northern Soul Events at Ashington Comrades Club. The action kicks off at 6.30 with our regular resident DJs, Brian Dodds, Chris Marklew, Craig Bell, Gary Bell and Ian Fenwick bringing their regular excellent mix of Northern Classics and rarer cuts. This month's guest is Ethan McDermott, who always delivers a cracking set wherever he plays. Throw in a huge wooden dancefloor, great sound system, cheap bar prices and that fantastic atmosphere we are famous for then you have all the ingredients for what promises to be a fantastic night. Whilst normal service will be resumed musically after our successful MOTOWN v PHILLY  night there will be a special nostalgic hour, that will transport us back to the Casino from the 19th March 1977, it will mirror a recording I did on the night. You will need your dancing shoes 👞 🥿

Every other month I arrange with different DJ's from around the country to come along to the club & play records from their collections.
These tunes over the past 60 years have been rediscovered by collectors, enthusiasts, dealers & DJ's who relentlessly search through mountains of old records & in some cases original studio tapes in the hope of finding a brilliant tune that has something special that makes you want to dance with a passion.

Unfortunately, after many years, we have decided to bring down the curtains on Crigg Soul Club. The next event on Friday 6 December will be the last one.
This has been a very difficult decision to make. Ian and I have deliberated long and hard about it. I have decided to give up DJing and Ian feels the Club would not be the same without one of its founders.
We have always run Crigg as a not for profit event and have donated profits to charities. Currently this is Bluebell Wood Childrens Charity. Our 2024 total donation will be revealed after the December event, and sadly, is looking to be less than previous yearly totals.
Finally, a big thank you to all those that have been involved with Crigg Soul Club over the years.
To all the resident DJ's: Pete, Steve, Phil, Ginger, Jools, Ian and above all to my founding partner of
six years Jim Hirst. It is fitting that Jim will be appearing at the finale on 6th December as a guest.
To all the guest DJ's, some of the country's finest, who have graced the Crigg decks.
