Color One Tear Black welcomes Junior back, and Jake Holloway as guest selectors on Sunday, 10th September.
Junior first worked at Footprints Records in Finsbury Park before moving at the legendary BPM Records in Kennington, one of London's best soul, funk and jazz deletion and import specialists of the 90s. A long-time champion of the sort of soul music that we love at Color One Tear Black, and with a deep collection, he spins regularly at Carib Soul.
Jake Holloway, AKA Jake Dragons – top-flight record dealer and collector, and partner in Hoxton’s Love Vinyl record shop. Jake knows his onions across the soul/funk/jazz spectrum for sure, and we’re keen to hear what he pulls for COTB.
COTB residents Claire Kalvis, Jim Edwards and David Hill will also be spinning alongside Junior and JM on 11th September
Set up in February 2016 by Thierry Cochet, AKA Dr Kruger (NTS), Color One Tear Black celebrates group harmony, sweet and deep soul music, played on original issue 45s by resident DJs Dr Kruger, Claire Kalvis, Jim Edwards, David Hill plus guests. The night runs on the second Sunday of each month at The Paradise, 19 Kilburn Lane, London. W10 4AE.
