After checking for NS events that could be worth attending, our party decided to attend this event at Wootton Hall.

Firstly the venue was very easy to find and there was an ample car park attached to the venue. So far so good. Upon entry we were pleasantly surprised with the set up of the room. it was well set up with sufficient seating along with a reasonably sized dance floor.

We set ourselves down in our seats and awaited for the time to use the dance floor. The floor wasn't too bad but in my opinion it could have been polished for this event, as there were places where there was no give in the floor.

As far as the music was concerned, in general it was mostly known tracks, there was very few records played that were unknown to us. All of the DJs played reasonable sets and those that attended used the floor and there were very few moments when the floor was unoccupied

It is my opinion that this venue is something to watch out for future events, assuming that will be the case. I would request that the music could be a little more varied with some underplayed records.

Response from the promoter:

Thank you for your comments.
This was my I inaugural Alldayer, following some years since my last All-nighter/Alldayer at this venue.  I was pleased with the turn out. 170 who paid. No doubt we can develop and learn from feedback, such as yours.
I will be running another one on November 16 th. I am trying to sort the Dj line up and  hope that with variations in the line up we will get more underplayed tunes. In fairness to the Djs, the crowd were generally one who favoured the known tunes. At least that is what was said to me by some of the Djs. I would share that point. All of the Djs are seasoned Djs who have been anround the block  and I believe are well  capable of judging the floor. I know in my set when I played one or two rarer stuff the floor thinned. And when followed by something well known it filled immediately. We are hopeful that as  more people come to future events we can get a more cross section of attendees.
re the floor. I will take this up with the club for future events.
once again thanks for taking the time to make a review.
regards
