About The Event

After our first successful soul Sunday on 24th November, we are holding our our second event on the 26th January 2025 with an extra two hours of music, which was requested by our guests  

Look forward to seeing familiar faces and new ones to enjoy the music

    What a great way to start the year, at St Mary's soul second outing, well attended by senior delinquents, entertained by class djs.

    This place will become the new Gliderdrome when the old one gets shut down by environmental health.

    Compare this - easy to get to, easy parking, clean toilets, well run bar, good sound system, no double decking!  Not having to pay for a modern room that's not there (what's that all about?).  This soul club is a great place to meet like minded people, it even has a resident tech trooper on stage.

    Get to the next one early, we weren't there at the start and it was already packed.

    With a love of music  and a basic knowledge of the Northern Soul Scene, we came across the Northern Soul & Motown compilations on YouTube through the Covid period and this drew us to the many local events after lockdown.

    We live in Wisbech St Mary and felt that the Community Centre venue would be ideal to host a new Sunday Soul event.

    We held our first event in November unsure how it would take off, and were blown away by the support of the local like minded soul family.

    We have four great local Dj's who have come on board with us to help promote in the local area and after just two events we now have people attending from near and far.

    Your comments have reinforced that we are providing a good mix of music to suit all tastes in a large modern venue that can accommodate many soulies to enjoy the scene as much as we do.
