Well after 3 yrs. and 7 attempts

I still don't see how this goes from strength to strength here are a few idea's you might consider,

1. Very poor P.R. relations I.E.  on ABC Tenerife app both venues still advertising Karaoke and your own app nothing scheduled ???

2. When people arrive there is no D.J. line up for both rooms easy just print line up on A.4 paper and pin it up on the doors or the D.J. both so people can photo it.

3. Why is there always a problem when D.J.s swap over don't they know how to use the equipment or are some of them just not D.J.s (Solution use 2 leads from mixer)

4. Talking about some of the D.J.s there seems to be a lot of friction between them WHY? are we supposed to be all one soul family or is this THE CLICK taking over.

5. When I left the Modern room 8-3-1 was playing went in the Northern room the same song was played again 10 mins. later Northern Soul is Northern Soul not Modern.

6. Ladies Night what is the point none of these ladies are D.J.s just partners or friends of the organisers with a playlist already set up for them to play??.

7. Finally the guys who run this event do not listen to the punters regarding FEEDBACK If it's negative they tend to ignore you for saying something they don't want to hear.

I have supported this event everytime but it seems to get no better we could rename it  AMATEURS ON THE REEF wot do you think.

Response from the promoter:

Please see my responses below, please feel free to contact me direct,

1. SOTR  have no control over or access to the social media for the Irish Oak, point noted for November, I’m sure we can get that sorted

2. The DJ line ups were printed and posted, will post more in November.

3. False statement, there is “not always” a problem with change overs, the Modern room was seamless, DJ’s mixing bpm in some cases.

4. As one of the co-organisers Im not aware of any friction between DJ’s, maybe you can enlighten me

5. All DJ’s know the genre of music for each room, however with over 65hours of music over 7nights, it’s inevitable that there will be some cross over (no pun intended)

6. The Ladies Nigh is a light hearted approach and an opportunity for the girls to have a go, admitted all are not DJ’s but your comment is totally disrespectful to the girls who are, some playing regularly across different venues

7. I can only speak for myself, at what point and when did you approach me direct with any point of concern?

Finally as you say yourself “this goes from strength to strength” so the vast majority of people must be happy with the event, ultimately this is a free event, no wristbands, no charge, no commitment asked for or required, if you don’t like it, stay away, it’s that simple.
