A Special Night Of Northern Soul - Norwich

Every other month I arrange with different DJ's from around the country to come along to the club & play records from their collections.
These tunes over the past 60 years have been rediscovered by collectors, enthusiasts, dealers & DJ's who relentlessly search through mountains of old records & in some cases original studio tapes in the hope of finding a brilliant tune that has something special that makes you want to dance with a passion.
Some of these records in the past 45 years have become Northern Soul dance floor classics.
So, every other month we get together & play records that have exactly that.

For this particular event
Ted Massey would of been DJing with me & other DJ's on this night, he very sadly died a few months back.
Ted was a friend from afar that I shared the same taste in music with, we enjoyed a good chit chat, the same liking of excellent films & TV shows, plus our sharing in knowledge & the enjoyment of listening to Soul Music.
Ted was an excellent DJ who gave us the opportunity to hear some of the best tunes from the Rare Soul & Northern Soul scene.
I also admired Ted for his green fingered success in his garden as he turned his home grown into a plumage of colourful flora that he shared that with us though many photo's on FB.

Ted will be greatly missed.
This event is still going ahead, not as a tribute or one in sadness, but in fond memory of Ted.
I therefore asked his friend & mine "Kevin Higham" to say a few words, spin some records & reflect on the good times we had & will have.
On that night we will also be joined by local DJ's John Whyman, Jon Goodrum & Arthur Woodhead, plus myself to get you all onto the dance floor.
It will be an uplifting night of gratitude, thanks & happiness for knowing Ted & sharing the good times & music that we all enjoy.

Private Bar / superb wooden dance floor/ seating with tables / wheelchair access / all facilities are on the ground floor.
The venue is VERY CLOSELY SITUATED to a Regular Bus Stop, the Train Station & Taxi Ranks plus within a short walk plenty of Eateries, Hotels, B&B, Motels, Morrisons, NCFC, Riverside complex are all close by.

Free car park for approx 36 cars.
The club is situated in a zoned area for on road parking, so be careful.
