We are very sorry but due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we have had to bring the event forward one week, to the 22nd August. Hopefully this is plenty of notice to catch everyone's attention in time to change any plans. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, including apologies if this clashes with any other local events, and thank you in advance for your understanding.

Well our first anniversary, July event went down a storm. it was the busiest and best night we've held there, so a massive THANKS goes out to all who attended and made it the best night so far, and we also had a couple of regular groups who had celebrations of their own as well as our anniversary, and according to feedback we received off them, it was the right choice for their party. It was also complemented by the excellent spinning wonders of our guest DJ, Billy Backdrop, massive THANKS to Billy for his charismatic performance and keeping the dance floor busy, as did the other DJ's on the night 👌The question now though is how do we follow on from that? The simple answer is, we pull another rabbit out of the hat for our August event, so we have commissioned former 70's Twisted Wheel DJ, Mr Ian Ellison, who will be joining the regular house DJ's, John Botham, Stuart Rowbotham and Ian Bruce, to assist us for our 2nd month of the 2nd year of Northern Soul & Motown down at the Greasbrough WMC. So once again, the NS&M team and the club would like to thank you all for your continued support so far and we hope to keep you entertained for another year 👌 As usual, the DJ's between them will be spinning plenty of cracking tunes from a wide variety of genres right across the board, from our roots, starting back in the ‘youth club days’ (for many of us), a bit of rare and underplayed soul, mainstream soul, R ‘n B soul and a bit of modern soul. Hopefully plenty enough to keep everyone happy and enjoy either listening, dancing or hopefully both if possible. There's a very wise wall writing in The Lockwood, Doncaster, which says, 'YOU DON'T STOP DANCING BECAUSE YOU GROW OLD, YOU GROW OLD BECAUSE YOU STOP DANCING', very wise words! So hopefully we'll see you at The Club and do our best to help stop you growing old 🤞🤞

It's FREE entry, cheap bar prices, big car park, a ‘fantastic’ talc friendly dancefloor, as proclaimed by our regular dancers - (please use talc in moderation, though it is very well polished so not really needed). So plenty of great tunes to either shake a tail feather to prevent ageing, or just sit, enjoy listening and tap your feet to. Once again, a massive THANK YOU very much to all who have been and supported us this far, and any support at future events to help us keep you entertained will be greatly appreciated, as always!
