Shrewsbury Northern Soul Night

Autumn just round the corner and nights starting to draw in already, and it's time for the summer siesta to be put aside in Shropshire and welcome back Shrewsbury's best loved soul night in it's most secretive of venues.

Time for some go-to sounds at the CHURCH!, as always hosted by Mark and Russ and now on the verge of celebrating it's 17th Anniversary and indeed, one of the County's longest running and most successful soul nights, encompassing a proper across the board playlist from youth club days through to big Northern soul venues and the decades of the 60's/70's/80's and including tuneage from the 90's and millenium.

Akways loyally supported locally and always plenty of travellers from every point of the compass, fascinated to see what this is all about.

I'll be spinning some tunes in this first guest spot after the hols, and looking forward to playing a few things that are current favorites and on the turntables else where!.

Expecting a very busy night so as slways: the advice is get there early to secure seating and...a llace on the dancefloor😉👍 this is a talc free venue, it has a superb floor so...the powder isn't justified!!....drinks prices are competitive and there's spaceous free parking.

The venue is just off the A5191 ( Battlefield Road ) and there are easy connections to the A5 - M54 - A49 - A53 - M6.

Recommended accommodation is close at hand too, with 2 Travelodges at Bayston Hill & Battlefield, Premier Inn on Severnside, Holiday In Express @ Emstree business park, and in Shrewsbury Town Centre itself at The Lion Hotel on Wyle Cop and Abbotts Mead Hotel in St Julians & Friars.
