Listening to Soul music wasn’t enough. Neither was dancing to it or digging records. The Honey Drops came out of an obsession, a will, and to a degree, a need. From Manchester, inspired by scenes like Northern Soul, Mod Jazz, Pop Corn and Deep Soul. Writing and playing songs we’d love to hear in the darkest of dancefloors, the place to soak up new and obscure tracks from days-gone-by without losing the perspective of time. To sweat and move, to let go and groove. Right here, right now. They’ve got the Soul. They’ve got the Rhythm. And they’ve got the Blues.
On October 11th, and for the first time ever, The Honey Drops will bring their sound and their songs to the South for a night of Soul & Rhythm & Blues at Highcliffe Social Club. Darren Filler will be the guest DJ for the night, filling the place with soul gems before and after the live show.
