Is it an original or not? I tought I've seen copies on JM's auction too? This is the third copy of it isn't it?

And, was it unissued or not??

Well it's definately the third copy... cos I had the two copies that went through manships auction... which were different.

The mix on that copy doesn't sound as good as the one I kept, which leads me to think that they cut several acetates to get the sound 'right' prior to putting it out.

Yeah I knew that you had the other 2 acetates.

It's been issued then? It's a very nice track, would go well with "Castanet Senorita".

I only have the one now as I traded the other for a copy of Midnight Brew.

Lupine did a lot of acetates. I used to find more Lupine acetates around then most other companies but I left most of 'em because when I was digging for records the Lupine stuff was considered RnB or too old at the time. I did find a Primettes acetate though which I flogged to a Belgium collector.

I think Lupine was one of the bigger indie labels with a more professional set-up in the late 50's/early 60's so that's why there'll generally be more around. Plus I bet they owned a Mastering studio.......
