Could anyone help me out with some information (price etc) for his track "surfin" only heard it a few days ago. My knowledge of reggae / rocksteady is somewhat limited but this track really caught my ear.

It's a late 70's thing I think, on Studio One (Jamaica), probably find it on ebay as a repress

I don't think it got a U.K. single release back then - I can't believe a 7" re-press has NEVER happened...

It's appeared on Soul Jazz's STUDIO ONE ROCKERS CD:

Ernest also re-worked it for his 1996 album BELOW THE BASSLINE (Island Jamaica Jazz IJCD4002), which contains a host of covers of JA tunes.
