just been watching the Glastonbury coverage and Tony Christies new single "every Word she Said" - had that usual occurrence on a Sunday "that's the same backing as something but different vocals" - I'm sure we have all been there !! ( never with a Tony Christie track mind you !!) turned the volume down, as you do and there was Little Anthony and The Imperials - yesterday has gone (veep)

Was it 66 or 68 ?

cupids inspirations decent pop version was 1968 so was the lena junoff`s version so i would have thought LA`s version was at the latest early 1968

LAI was released in May 1968 - the same month as Cupid's Inspiration, which means CI were either very quick off the mark or they got the same publisher demo that Anthony & Co got.

Have to say that I marginally prefer Cupid's lot to Anthony's...

I seem to recall that Brian Epstein had something to do with the CI release - besides his owning the label , or did I dream it ? ........
