The Golden Toadstools - Silly Savage (Minaret) - £15
Slight cue burn hence price but fine for DJing. Funky uptempo hammond killer.
Ray Charles Orchestra - Sidewinder / Booty Butt (Tangerine) - £5
Two brilliant instrumental sides. Best dancefloor version of "Sidewinder" IMO coupled with a great funky number. VG hence price.
The O'Jays - One Night Affair (Neptune) - £5
Absolutely superb "crossover" soul record. Deserves more exposure.
Sam Cooke - Shake / A Change Is Gonna Come (UK RCA) 1965 - £5
Two classic soul sides. B-side is one of my all-time favourite deep soul recordings.
Bobby Montez Orchestra - Guajira Josephina (Pacific Jazz) - £5
Fantastic mod Latin jazz dancer.
The Students - That's How I Feel (Checker) - £3
Doo Wop. VG- only, but plays OK. Labels in beautiful condition. A nice cheap addition to someone's Checker label collection.
uncredited studio artists - He's So Fine / Our Day Will Come / Some Other Guy / Nobody's Darling But Mine (UK Hit Parade EP) - £25
Killer British beat version of the mod soul classic "Some Other Guy". Best beat version by a mile IMO. Fantastic guitar solo. Seems to be unknown on the mod scene as far as I can tell. Never seen another copy. NB. No picture sleeve (don't believe it ever had one)
