Hello Linda , a demo copy is the copy that was send to radio ,DJ's etc , to promote the record before release .They are usually the same recording , but often have the same song both sides , sometimes in mono and stereo .They are very often white coloured labels , but not always .Sometimes if you stick out for the issued copy , you get a good B side as well .Pressings are bootlegs under a different name , you need a guide to know which records are bootleg/ pressings as some are vey similar to the original , Popcorn Wylie " Rosemary " for instance on Karen white demo .Reissue is another term , these are often UK issues of big Northern sounds , issued due to demand , often in the 70's . Acetate is another useful term , these are like a first test pressing or an unissued side , but because they are cut rather than pressed in the usuel way , they often wear out quickly .Right hope that helps a bit ......Best,Eddie

Right...............so if someone has offered Spyder Turner on demo £100 and issue at £12 what's the difference apart from a huge gap in price......................and what would an original of this track be and cost?

The prices quoted will be for original copies of this.

The issue is the black MGM label that was issued in the shops and is common and easy to pick up (eBay scan below).

The demo is the yellow labelled copy that went out to radio stations etc. for promotional purposes. That is rare and so goes for a much higher price. For me, that is the only copy to have (my copy below)

The demo is pretty rare , the issue is quite easy £10- £12 , they are both originals , people may go wow !! if they see the demo in your box , but buy what you can afford IMO .Best,Eddie

If you buy the issue , that'll give you nearly £90 towards a Sam Dees , wouldn't be too much more than that , I wouldn't have thought.If you get an issue or a UK Atlantic of Sam , the flip side is very good as well .Best,Eddie
