Does somebody know any decent Ska/Skinhead Reggae 45 shops and stores selling "not so obvious" DVDs (i.e. UK/US B-movies, cult series/movies, etc) in central London?

I'll be travelling to the 100 Club anniversary this coming saturday and have a few hours to kill before the do starts. Any shops based in/around Camden Town would be perfect as that's where I plan to go first

TIA

Bloody hell Benji, I am just about to go down the rubbish tip with two boxes of videos containing almost every cult movie and tv program you can imagine - but they are videos not dvd's - I've been lugging them around from house to house and I just can't take them this time so I'm throwing them away. There must be a good 400 tapes with 2 films on each. I did offer them to anyone to take away for free but no takers.

Pete, even if I were living near your house I couldn't pick them up due to lack of space in our flat (2 kids, 2 cats, 2 record collections and one comprehensive comic book collection).

Shame, but just been and dumped them. Everything from El Topo to Last House On Dead End Street, Sister Streetfighter to Deep Throat, and even The good old "Enema Bandit" which is undoubtedly the most bizarre film of all time.

Bye bye old friends...

There's an excellent shop specialising in ska/reggae 45s (& some soul, mainly Kent/Goldmine reissues) in Hanbury St, Spitalfields between Commercial St & Brick Lane.

Can't remember its name but it's close to Spitalfields Market. No credit cards.

... Deep Throat, ...

Damn, would have loved to see that (only for cinema historical reasons of course *cough*)

Steve, thanks! Sounds interesting. Are they selling original JA/UK 45s or reissues only?

It's Nudge Records, 20 Hanbury St, London E1 6QR. Plenty of original JA releases. The area might be good for browsing for dvds, try Spitalfields Market & the shops in the former Truman brewery site at the top of Brick Lane. Happy hunting.
