Oh yes! Moulton remixes the Philly Groove catalogue. Thought I'd post this up 'cos there's some goodies on here.
Just got delivery of this and two immediate standout tracks for me are:-
"Don't Put Me Down" - Finishing Touch
A 9 minute slab of forgotten soul with a lead vocal to die for.....
and
"Whatcha Gonna Do" - Heaven & Hell
Absolutely hypnotic beautiful track that was originally on the long forgotten soundtrack of the film "Nocturna" from 1979. Just a wonderful wonderful track which sounds perfect today......
Naturally the whole album's a work of art and there's quite a few tracks which should be of interest to Soul Sourcers, namely the First Choice, Delfonics, Tapestry, Finishing Touch and Nat Turner tracks which now have time to breathe properly on these longer mixes. Also worth checking is "Gonna Keep On Loving Him" - First Choice which sounds like a cross between Gloria Taylor's "You've Got To Pay The Price" and The Trammps "Hold Back The Night"........
