Anyone help on knowing if a date stamped in red directly onto the label is actually a demo or does it have to be factory printed on label with the same font etc...

Often those date stamps were done by radio stations so they had a log of what releases came in what week if you see what I mean.

If it is a Wand release that does not also appear as a proper labelled demo, then there is a chance it is a demo copy...stamped by the radio station, the plugger or the sales rep etc.
