Hey guys, a few weeks ago I heard this song on the Q music channel in England, and have been trying realy hard to find it since, but with no luck so far! I'm pretty sure it's soul, don't know a huge amount about the genre myself though! I was admittedly half asleep at the time so I apologise if I got any details wrong:
I'm guessing it was about love (altho I've been listening to endless clips from love compilations on amazon but no luck yet), it's certainly not one of those corny poppy love songs. I dont know much about the genre but I'm guessing it's soul or blues or something.....it's very very very slow and downbeat and I *think* the (male) singer had a deep barry-white-style voice. I'm sure it's quite famous but I've not heard it often.....I think it's the music that it's really famous for rather than the singing? I think the music is piano by the way. The song is rather depressing and unfortunately the only idea I have about the lyrics is in what I'm guessing is the chorus he uses the phrase "her soul" or maybe just even "soul".
As for when it was made.....well I'm sure I first heard it a few years back, but it's one of those sort of songs that sounds kinda timeless....my first thought was that it was an older song, but I'm not so sure now as it does have a kinda modern feel to it.
Sorry I couldn't be more help with my description.....any suggestions at all though would be very very welcome, I can check if they're right very easily!
