can anyone tell me if the colossus version of "you ain't saying nothing new" is identical to the tamla version? Thanks in advance.

My copy is on colossus and is exactly the same as far as i can tell bob

I've had both at the same time (but since sold my Tamla version) and, sorry if this cuts across what the others above have said, but I always thought there was a slight difference. Hard to put a finger on it, but thought the Colossus version was a much richer' and fuller sounding recording. I understand Colossus was the original reecording.

Maybe it was because of a different quality in the vinyl between the two, or perhaps something in the way the track was transferred between the two labels or maybe just one was put onto the vinyl slightly more loudly, or with a bit more bass etc?

As I said, can't put my figer on it, but definitely think there is some difference. Be interested in any other views on it?
