due to the structure of the event forums understand that there is a gap when it comes to a place for people to pass on such news

have just opened a new events related forum called

events:annoucements

the aim is two fold

1. provide a place for members to share and discuss important event news and announcements regarding new/launches , one off or important event related news

2. avoid news and general forums getting too event heavy

all members are asked to use this new forum for "important" event news/info eg announcements of "important " event news

while aware that many are passionate about their events do ask that bear in mind the above aims and that it is meant for "important" "one off" "of interest" type posts rather than repeated promotional posts

there are event forums already for the actual event info and follow on discussion and they should be used

this is meant to provide a service for members who goto events and is not meant to be yet another promotional tool for promoters

any posts which feel do not follow this thrust or kicking the arse out of it will be removed
