do you know something about this Sam Cooke's rare single? Sugar Dumpling b/w Twistin' The Night Away, a 33rpm issue. LP promo? jukebox issue...?

sounds like a 33rpm stereo jukebox 7" (mini LP), a shortlived format from around the late 50s/early 60s that often came with pic sleeves.

loads of discographies for sam cooke if you google it, may appear in one of them

As it's not a Mini LP, straight 7" with one track per side, i would hazard a guess that it comes from South America

There are loads of American 33rpm singles out there...

They were made for Jukebox use.

I've got some by Bobby Bland, Sam Cooke, Erma Franklin, Barbara Dane, Ray Charles etc.

nope, a bunch of those mini LP type things were just one track per side, especially if they weren't jazz related. I have a few Jackie Wilson stereo 33 7"s for example & they are 100% US presses. I also have Thelonious Monk which is 1 song over both sides, so there's def a bit of variation :thumbsup:
