I bought my copy as a new release in the 70s + it was in most 'modern' soul packs of the day so there must be loads of copies around. I've always loved it. Lead singer is Teddy Pendegrass, Barry White & Randy Brown all wrapped up in one! Oh and the 'goosebumps' chorus is a cracker. Did it get plyed much and/or does it now? I hope the link works it's my first attempt! I couldn't find a Refosoul clip of it.

I'd of thought about 20 quid. Like you bought it at the time (on the strength of a Mecca play or two) - don't think it got much more action.

Underated pounder and not often up for sale , although I ' m sure there are plenty of copies located in collections.

Indeed - but I for one, have never been able to have a serious musical relationship with this 45. Anyone ? It's a lightweight collection shelf hanger, even after 30 years. I have spotted it on a few playlist on here over recent years, seen for sale in the deepest region of Lancashire for £30.00. But then If the Road To Happiness - by the Dynamic Beltones weights in at £30.0, so be it.

Even if Teddy, Barry and Randy recorded this on Probe Detroit, then I shall keep it. But it's still a "diluted loop warm soul 45" dinning out on the sole strength of the Mecca.

Ain't it Ivy Jo Hunter singing it?

I think it is a great record.

DON'T SIT ON THE FENCE HERE, WHY DON'T YOU TELL US WHAT REALLY THINK OF THE RECORD  , ALWAYS GAVE IT A FEW SPINS MAINLY WHEN REQUESTED FOR IT, BUT SOLD IT EARLIER ON THIS YEAR. £10 - £15 IS A MORE REALISTIC PRICE FOR THIS RECORD

Thanks for replying evryone. I didn't think it would divide opinion this much! As I said in my post there must be loads of copies around as it was in 'soul packs' and about a tenner is right I think. I STILL LIKE IT!!
