Noticed there was a topic on here a few weeks ago about an eBay buyer being unhappy because they hadn't realised that the description meant there was a crack in the record. Had the odd question myself when selling things ("WOL - does it affect play?" ). Think we all (within all the wonderful variations you get) know what M, VG etc mean but thought it might be handy to try and get some sort of list of all the other abbreviations you get - know I'm still puzzled by the odd one!
Pinched these off Manship...
SS = Still Sealed
STR = Sticker
STRM = Sticker Mark
LT = Label Tear
NAP = Does Not Affect Play
WL = Writing on Label
CR = Crack
DJ = Demo Copy
WRP = Edge Warp
DSH = Storage Dish
SWR = Sleeve Wear
PS = Picture Sleeve
and these off a sales list I had lying about...
WOL = Writing on label
LWOL = Large writing on label
STOL = Sticker on label
STMOL = Sticker mark on label
STL = Small tear on label
TL = Tear on label
SOL = Stain on label
LSW = Label slightly worn
LW = Label worn
WDL = Water damage on label (think I've also seen this as 'H20'?)
SN = Surface noise
Anyone add to the list? The ones you use when selling, or if you've got a handy guide anywhere... or if anyone wants to ask about any that have had them baffled......
