Loved The Revellers,I lived at Hurworth at the time, met all my Richmond and Northallerton mates there,Great times.

Ah yes ,Sunday nights at the Revellers, what memories. It had a good wooden floor which didnt need any talc,Your uncle Steve and myself use to practice the moves/dance patterns/stomping on that floor(.Alas ,stomping and tricks are out of my comfort zone now).To us,Revellers was the spring board to Wigan Casino, you didnt want to look a right div on that floor ( WC).Revellers was very popular in the late 70s

Forgot to mention, your dad was very instrumental in a lot of the moves we copied back then.He was great to watch.

. Hi mate, ya new me uncle n dad that's cool, what do you mean by instrumental if u don't mind me asking?? Wish I could of seen him dance in his hay day and see what he could do! Not known anyone who's seen him dance back then so only go off his words ;)

Your Dad was..by far the best dancer, you could say a legend ( only my opinion) ,( dance/tricks and especially stomping ),we all tried to copy the way he effortlessly moved around the floor ,to whatever northern record, and only the best could do that.Thats what i mean by Instrumental.

Never Heard that term used like that before, cheers for saying, when he stomps now he's fast an does it so easy like ya say but imagining him in his prime must a been something to watch, onli if u had camcorders back then haha I heard off me mam he was brilliant an Ronnie marsh but no one else!! Ktf mate..

See thread " Revellers ,,Yafforth",most of the names on there will have watched your Dad,"back in the day"

KTF...

great pics bud, before my time but i like the way folks took it so seriously in the early days(i mean the dance moves, drops, practising all week etc) must have been an exiting time for the scene, your dad certainly looked like he took it very seriously in them pics mate, great stuff
