Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to give you a quick update on a great weekend taking place next weekend in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

On Friday, 20 January, Twin Cities Soul takes place at O'Gara's Bar and Grill, 164 Snelling Avenue North (Shamrock Room), St. Paul. Twin Cities Soul runs from 9PM-1AM. Admission $3/person or $2 with a valid college ID. More information at www.twincitiessoul.com

On Saturday, January 21, 60s soul singer Mickey Murray performs in concert to celebrate Secret Stash Records' release of People Get Together, an album released on Federal/King that ended up being shelved. Mr. Murray is playing live at the Cedar Cultural Centre. Doors open at 8 p.m. with 2 DJ slots, followed by Mickey live at 10 p.m. More information at:

due to over the top promotion do have to keep on top of event news etc in the "all about the soul" forum

to do this we only allow frontpage articles to be highlighted

so in future if do have any event news that feel is worthwhile for posting on front page or in the "all about the soul" forum

can you use the standard news submission
