Hi oddly enough I picked up a Naylor lamp (made by J HNaylor Wigan) my guess its from the last century or the 19th certainly its a pit lamp which isnt working but has all the glass brass etc. and is a nice looking piece. I was told that Russ Winstanley used it to light up his turntab...ok thats a lie.

Anyone interested in this type of thing just pm me make me an offer. I would have to sort out post. ta Seanio

Only the extremely rare ones you can buy the more common ones for less than £40

with the J H Naylor lamps it all depends on model and year of manufacture

J H Naylor (The Wigan Brass company) were sitll manufacturing in the 1960's and poss beyond

the really early Davie lamps 1700's can fetch upwards of £13,000

but like isaid the more modern ones are still manufactured today and are still used today by mining companies and even people like the Gas companies still use them
