I've been trying to find this track which I heard on a mix on radio one since 1998.

I've tried all the tricks in the book to find out who it is, including endless hours online, in record shops etc etc..

If anyone knows the artist or name of this track I'll be a very happy man.

cheers!

Fantastic tune!

It is "Need You" by the New Orleans artist Prince La La.

A previously unissued track that appeared on the "More Gumbo Stew" CD on Ace (CDCHD 462 : https://www.acerecords.co.uk/content.php?page_id=59&release=518 ).

Don't think it ever has gotten a vinyl release.

That entire "Gumbo Stew" CD series is filled with good (mostly unissued) New Orleans stuff.

Thanks a million! It's fantastic to finally find out what it is!
