Salem Oregon and the answer is no.

There is a couple things, Prince Charles and the Crusaders and something else (forget the artist, its a persons name, not a group), that are acceptable for the mod dance crowd and could be called blue eyed soul. There are a lot of good heavier garage and psych records though, plus some 60s pop rock and country.
