Quite nice record from a great artist.

His frantic "Star Revue" on Dee-Su is a big fave of mine. :yes:

DeeSu must have have had a great roster, I know Wilbert Harrison recorded at least one single for the label. I gotta find a discography one of these days.

There are only 20 singles in total on Deesu, almost all of them are worth owning - although I don't know about "Campy Stuff" by Cleto and the Chaparrals (# 312) sounds a bit Dale Winton to me...

Two of the best records on the label - as long as you like deep soul, that is - are:

WILLIE WEST "Greatest Love" (# 306 - also done nicely by Judy Clay on Atlantic)

JOE HAYWOOD - "Say You Will" ( # 313)

You could probably buy both of those for a quarter of what it would cost to buy the Daisy Burris on Deesu 303...
