hi all, i was pondering whether to respond to a want post for "my dear heart" as it as just been sitting in me "oldies" box

for the time i purchased it and have rarely played it, but noticed the person wanting this 45 saying that the options were

wait for a copy to finish on ebay or buy the issue up for sale on j manships site because of no response

to there want.

so i thought before i make my mind up to sell and at what price, i have a EX black issue imo harder to find, i watched the

recent demo finish on ebay for in excess of £350+ and before that another demo went for over $600+!!!!

this got me thinking

is this 45 in demand and were? would think if its getting played would be at a oldies type event?

whos paying that sort of money for imo not really a rare record? are they uk based buyers collectors or oldies djs?

and lastly what makes it abit of a strange thing is that you could buy a EX+ black issue of j ms site for £300

i mean we all amazed at how much more he gets for records on his auctions but to actually be able to buy a

rarer issue for alot less of a dealers site just makes me wonder even more whos buying/paying so much for

these records!! bizarre, if i was john i would wack it up for auction.....

any thoughts on this 45, imo not a bad record but a £350+ record i think not, especially when you see oldies such

as new wanderers - this man in love, struggling to sell then in the end sold at £130!!! amazing

as i dont go to event so much nowadays, the oldies events i do go to locally ive never heard this been played

saying that the time i have heard it played was mid 70s early 80s.... so is it the case that if this 45 is in demand or

is it because the oldies punters/djs dont know it lol...

I personally think anyone paying more than £200 for it is a mug...but that doesn't seem to matter anymore, presumably someone auctioned one for a daft price now all the sheep want one and think it's a rare record

i remember well when i purchased my copy of ebay, it was one of the first auctions i actually won 8yrs ago and the only reason i bid on it was

that i got outbid on a record i really wanted a few minutes before saw this put a stupid bid in and won it!! under $100.00
