Just learned of the sad loss of a mate from the 70's Les Metcalfe whom also no doubt will be fondly remembered around the Manchester area too.
Les was one smart lad back then and to me epitomised the scene,although i'd not seen him all those years it was great to hear from
other mates that he was still doing ok.........RIP

METCALFE On January 19, died peacefully at St. Teresa's Hospice, Les aged 57 years, of Darlington. Sadly missed by his mam Beryl, his sister Elaine and brother Ron, loving partner of Mandy. Friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium on Mon-day, January 28, at 1.15 p.m. Family flowers only, donations if desired to St. Teresa's Hospice (collection plate available at the crematorium). Les requested mourners in Man City colours if preferred, strictly no red.
