Tried that and it fails everytime.

Was hoping it was down to file type and that some kind soul could advise on how to convert to a better format.

Could be down to size as well? I struggle with this as well.

Never have a problem, but just run it through one of the free AVI to MP4 convertors 1st, using the web video or youtube settings.

I'm sure the uploader is Flash based (or it used to be) so upgrading to the latest version of flash might help.

I used to upload .avis but I've just been using Windows Movie Maker lately to do my youtube videos, simple, and worked fine everytime as .wmv

How long are the videos? 15 minute limit is set - but can be changed. 2Gb limit if uploading from web page, 20Gb if uploading from HTML5 compatible browser.

The uploads do use Flash or HTML5 now, so check you have the latest version of Google Chrome as a browser and that might solve your problems.
