February 23, 201312 yr Author Richard, the label is a mock up. Unissued track taken off Chuck Jackson - The Motown Anthology CD Thanks Dave - didn't know about that - interesting. The Fantastic Four's version is one of my favourite Motown records - I have always thought of it as being in a similar style to Jackey Beavers - Love That Never Grows Old (Revilot), or Steve Mancha - Friday Night (Groovesville). I reckon it is the best Ric-Tic record that never was Cheers Richard
February 23, 201312 yr No doubt Chuck's version was cut around 1970 and was viewed by the Motown studio team as 'just another throwaway track' they had him record. Chuck was 'badly served' at Motown especially as Smokey had pestered him for some time to leave Wand and sign with BG's company (mainly coz CJ & SR were great friends & Chuck always sold out his numerous shows at the 20 Grand). So to give him 2nd class material & 'old songs ' was nothing less than an insult. I'm sure Chuck could have ''killed' this song given the right condition,s as very few other singers had his vocal prowess & power.

Nowhere near the Fantastic Four's version
