surprised that little mentioned here about deke rip

born dennis lussier 1944

father a Hollywood script writer.

stared in 62 film called Eegah through dads connections played a member of a rock n roll band.

played and wrote tunes with Debbie Dean, first white motown act

66 dean introduced him to gordy

he signed him as writer, producer

The Clan, as gordy named them were R dean taylor, pam sawyer and frank Wilson

wrote love child 68, also im livin in shame with hank cosby + the clan

love child followed

broke with the clan 69

gordy teamed Richards with alphonzo mizell and Freddie perren plus gordy himself became known as The corporation

Jackson five of course took the world on and won

corporation was split up in 72

deke continued work with Jackson five and d ross and wrote touch me in the morning, produced the album for ross Everything Is Everything with hal davis 70- a great piece of work with a couple of interesting uptempo tracks included

left motown in 75 to start business selling vintage film posters

re-emerged to work on archive motown releases, of note come and get it-rare pearls 2012

would iove to hear info about the Debbie dean years if anyone has it to hand

desserves more than a cursory RIP for us I think

survived by a wife Joan

died of cancer aged 68

love to family etc

Sad news, Deke was a very talented writer / arranger / producer... 'Love Child', 'I'm Still Waiting' etc.
