Always wondered what happened to the Banbury crowd who used to get the first train into Birmingham for the Locarno All Dayers back in 1977-78. There only used to be two soulies on the train from Reading, none at Oxford (Maybe they were all going to Yate?) and then a whole coachload of soulies from Banbury, out the the cassette recorder and on with "Capitol Soul Casino" to make the journey a bit more bearable. Into the pub at Birmingham then through the underpass to join the queue to get in. 2 names that come to mind are Mary Tohill and Mark Pardner. Happy days !!!
