1) Jimmy Robins — I Just Can’t Please You — IMPRESSION

Undoubtedly the rarest format to own this classic, but we have some condition issues.  The labels are worn and also torn on the play side, and they are also reversed.  The vinyl has surf ace scratches to both sides but importantly the play side, apart from a few crackles during the intro, plays loud & clear and would be no problem to DJ with.  Not sure what to ask for this, it books at £300 so let’s try £75.

 

2) The Naked Truth — The Shing-A-Ling Thing — RCA demo — M- £30

Excellent Leon Huff penned instrumental, needs more spins I reckon.  Apart from that rather large WCUW radio station stamp, this is mint.  And talking of shing-a-lings, fancy a Northern Soul holiday of a lifetime?  Then get yourself to Perth for the Aussie National this November — see weekender events page.

Out and out stormer, covered up at the Casino as Wilson Pickett.

Legit reissue of this full-on dancer
